I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
